Welcome, I am Noila Ortega!
My passion is helping musicians build a solid music foundation and apply their skills to different areas while achieving their highest potential. I started to study piano in Cuba, my birth country, when I was 7 years old. I hold a BA in Music with majors in Musicology and Orchestra Conducting.
WHY MY COURSE IS NEEDED & UNIQUE
Music education in our country is not a priority. The lack of resources and music teachers in our schools directly impacts the quality of music instruction our students receive and, consequently, they are not well prepared to face higher education or any other endeavor in the music field. As a result, students don't understand the wide range of possibilities they have to develop and create their artistry within the musical field. This problem gives students a narrow view of music and the spectrum of options is often reduced to education or having to manage many jobs at the same time.
I have developed a comprehensive course that integrates every aspect of music theory with an interdisciplinary lens to help you understand music in its most authentic state and give you the foundation to have a global vision of music that opens up a world of possibilities to develop and create your artistry in the musical field.
